How to best burn for your candle...
Candles made from soy wax have a "memory". When you burn a soy wax candle and then extinguish it, the next burn will begin burning in the same manner as the last burn. To increase the quality of your burn, it is important that the first time you burn the candle, you allow the time to have the candle burn for an extended period of time, allowing the melted wax to reach all sides of the container. This will help to make sure that the candle does not tunnel, leaving wax along the sides of the container as it burns.
Candles burn best when the wicks are trimmed (about 1/4 of an inch) prior to burning. Our wicks are woven with a paper filament to encourage self-trimming as the candle burns, but trimming the wick will help to support an even burn.
When choosing a safe spot to burn your candle, keeping the candles away from drafts will help to both extend the candle life and reduce the amount of soot the candle produces.
